SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular to microbiology. A method for identifying bacteria from positive hemocultures by matrix laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry in patients with bloodstream infection is disclosed, including sample preparation of positive hemoculture by transferring it from a vial intended for the cultivation of microorganisms into a test tube with a separating gel, then centrifuged at 3000 revolutions for 10 minutes, the resulting supernatant is mixed and successive stages of centrifugation are carried out, adding deionized water to the sediment, and 96% of ethyl alcohol, after extraction of the protein extract with formic acid and acetonitrile, mixing the mixture on a vortex and centrifuging at 13,000 revolutions for 2 minutes, the resulting supernatant is applied to the target of a mass spectrometer, after drying, it is covered with a matrix and the identification of microorganisms is carried out by matrix laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry in patients with bloodstream infection.

EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in labor intensity due to the introduction of a smaller number of reagents and a reduction in the preparation time of positive hemocultures, which provides high accuracy in identifying microorganisms from the bloodstream containing bacteria.
