SUBSTANCE: vibration dampener of a spiral type contains two and more spirals, wherein the spirals are made with the winding direction to the same side, with the same pitch, and different internal diameters. Besides, an area of the overhead line is suggested, within it the vibration dampener of the spiral type with the same design is installed. The method of the vibration dampener of the spiral type installation on the wire or rope, or a cable of the overhead line means that, first of all, the spiral with a lower diameter is installed, winding starts from the end going to the span, to the point of the wire contact by the installed spiral, from it to the end of the spiral several spiral steps remain, similarly the next spirals are installed starting from the spiral of a lower diameter, the residual areas of the spirals are installed in the same order, as the previous areas of the spirals, and first the spiral with a lower diameter is wound, then the next spiral with the diameter lowest of the residual, wherein winding of each spiral is performed with the omission of the first of the residual steps of the installed spiral.

EFFECT: assurance of reliable vibration dampening.
