FIELD: electrical engineering, line attachments of spiral type. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to line hardware of spiral type and can be employed in loops of tapping from collecting buses of substations to protect hollow aluminum wires of these loops from destruction caused by effect of wind load. Protector is assembled from spirals forming strand which is coiled on wire and part of body of terminal. On one side strand is tied up with locks and binding and on the other side half-bushings are entered under strand. Length and inner diameter of wire spirals as well as diameter of wire of spirals of strand are chosen according to certain dependence on diameter of wire which ensures needed rigidity of protector and optimum distribution of it along entire length of wire. In the long run this approach enables good protective characteristics of proposed protector to be obtained. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of protection. 1 cl, 4 dwg
