FIELD: medicine and ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for the differential diagnosis of drusen in age-related macular dystrophy. Angio-OCT is performed in En Face mode. In this case, a 3D image of the macular region of the retina measuring 6x6 mm2 is obtained. Then B-scans of the retina are obtained in the areas of drusen detection, in the same areas C-scans are obtained. Combine the B- and C-scan images. B- and C-scan images are combined. On the combined image, the outer region is determined - from the retinal pigment epithelium to the Bruch's membrane, and the inner region - from the ellipsoidal zone to the articulation zone of the photoreceptors. If there are dark lesions on the C-scans of the outer area, and soft druses are diagnosed on the C-scans of the inner area of light foci with a dark outline. If there are lesions in the form of small volumetric structures on the C-scans of the outer region, and there are no changes on the C-scans of the inner region, reticular pseudodruses are diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention provides differential diagnosis of drusen in age-related macular degeneration by analyzing B-scans and C-scans of the macular region of the retina.
