FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, ophthalmology and can be used for treating reticular pseudo-drusen (RPD) in age-related macular degeneration of retina. A subthreshold microimpulsive laser exposure at wave length 577 nm and spot diameter 100 mcm is performed. Three sessions of laser exposure with interval between sessions in three-four weeks are performed. Laser coagulates are staggered along the whole surface of propagation of reticular pseudo-drusen. Distance between coagulates is equal to one coagulate diameter. Duration of packet is 30 ms, microimpulse is 1,050 mcs, porosity is 4.7 %, power is 50 mW.
EFFECT: method enables partial or complete resolution of RPD, increases light sensitivity of retina, maximally corrects acuity and quality of vision.
