METHOD FOR RETAINING THE DIRECTIVITY OF THE UHF RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION TAG DURING OPERATION UNDER A COMPLEX INTERFERENCE PATTERN Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC H01Q3/30 H01Q3/36

Abstract RU 2751090 C1

FIELD: radio technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio technology, more specifically, to radio frequency identification systems, and can be used for UHF systems with passive and semi-passive tags. A known problem in the field of UHF RFID system development is provision of sufficient directivity of the transmitting-receiving antenna of the identification tag (hereinafter referred to as the tag) in the direction of the antenna of the reader/interrogator (hereinafter referred to as the RI) in the range of the operating frequencies of the tag during operation of the tag in conditions of a nearby location of metal objects capable of distorting the shape of the directivity diagram of the tag by reducing the resulting energy of the forward and reverse RI-tag channel. The technical result is achieved by including in the tag a set of switching channels of HF phase shifters and a combining apparatus in the tag path between the antenna and circuits of existing IC solutions, particularly, a Monza 4-type IC, with the inclusion of such a set of switching phase shifters and a combining apparatus in the IC that allows obtaining several directivity diagrams of the same shape but with different spatial orientation for each of the used channels, i.e., several directivity diagrams at one frequency.

EFFECT: problem intended to be solved by the proposed invention consists in developing a method allowing forming more than two directivity diagrams of the tag at the same frequency to provide a possibility of retaining the directivity and the energy of the tag-RI channel associated therewith.
