SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for forming a tissue paper bundle supplied as a stack of folded individual sheets for use in diapers. The method includes the stages of forming a stack of folded absorbent paper, compressing the stack to the initial density at the first stage of compression, a first wrapping of the stack in a holding wrapper to form the initial bundle and maintain the initial density, wherein the initial bundle takes a form of an elongated block, further applying the second stage of compression of the stack to a final density higher than the initial density, and a second wrapping of the stack to form the final bundle and maintain the final density. The invention also relates to a tissue paper bundle produced by a two stage compression method and a packaging apparatus for forming a dense final tissue paper bundle.

EFFECT: ensured is stronger and more uniform compression of a paper bundle along the length thereof and maintained resulting density thereof.
