FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for removal of epiretinal fibrosis (ERF) with adhesion to internal limiting membrane (ILM). A standard 25-27G central vitrectomy is performed. Intraoperative optical coherence tomography is used to assess the length of adhesion. If there is a zone of local absence of adhesion, the ERF is captured and removed, starting from this area. In the presence of total dense adhesion, the ERF flap is removed together with the ILM with a diameter of not more than ⅓ of the optic disc diameter. Then, an internal leaf of the ERF-ILM complex is captured in this area and the ERF is separated from the ILM in the direction from the periphery to the fovea.
EFFECT: invention provides intact internal boundary membrane in the foveolar zone with exclusion of tangential tractions on the macular zone.
