LASER APPARATUS FOR THERMAL TREATMENT OF BULK GETTERS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC B23K26/352 B23K26/62 C21D1/09

Abstract RU 2751404 C1

FIELD: laser technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a laser apparatus for thermal treatment of a bulk getter built into the tooling and can be used in manufacture of electric vacuum and gas discharge apparatuses. The laser apparatus is comprised of a continuous semiconductor laser with a power control unit and a timer, an optical cable wherein a first optical fiber is located supplying the output emission of the near infrared range from the semiconductor laser through a collet for installation in the tooling directing the emission to the processed getter. A second fiber is located inside the optical cable. Inside the collet, at the output end of the optical cable, a lens is installed, configured to separate the laser beam of the semiconductor laser to direct it to the processed getter and simultaneously focus part of the thermal radiation on the end of the second optical fiber at the output end of the optical cable. At the end of the second fiber on the side of the input end of the optical cable, a thermal emission photodetector with a protective light filter against laser emission is installed. The power control unit coupled with the photodetector is configured to calibrate the values and display the temperature of the getters and to control the emission power of the continuous semiconductor laser.

EFFECT: improving the quality of heat treatment by optimising the conditions of the operations of degassing and activating the getter with control of the temperature thereof during the technological process and adjusting the laser emission power based on said data to provide the predetermined parameters of the temperature and heating rate of the getter.
