FIELD: displaying.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatuses generating "floating" images in the open space. The apparatus is comprised of a projection system; at least one positive lens; at least one emission multiplication module containing the following layers: a first transmitting diffraction grating, a second transmitting diffraction grating, at least one waveguide element transmitting emission based on the total internal reflection (TIR) effect, a reflecting diffraction grating. Each of the at least one positive lens covers each of the at least one emission multiplication module, wherein said elements can be located at a predetermined position relative to each other.
EFFECT: creation of an apparatus generating "floating" images in the open space.
