FIELD: augmented reality technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to augmented reality devices and methods for such devices’ operation. A waveguide with an architecture of diffractive optical elements for an augmented reality device is claimed, and the architecture of diffractive optical elements contains: a radiation input zone; a radiation multiplication zone; a radiation output zone. Each specified zone corresponds to its own set of diffraction optical elements that perform the functions of radiation input, radiation multiplication, radiation output. An augmented reality device and augmented reality glasses based on a waveguide with an architecture of diffraction optical elements are also announced.
EFFECT: provision of a wide field of view with a small thickness and full color, with good resolution and with the input of radiation from the side.
