SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery and can be used when choosing the option of bariatric intervention in obese patients who have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. For this, the patient's age, body mass index and stage of liver fibrosis are determined in accordance with the FibroTest value. Based on the calculation of the total number of points, a choice is made in favor of restrictive or combined bariatric intervention in subjects with morbid obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

EFFECT: method provides a decrease in the incidence of complications from the liver in the postoperative period due to the developed individual selection of surgical intervention, which also allows to reduce the cost of conservative therapy and hospital stay and improve the outcomes of surgery and the quality of life of obese patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
