SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of diagnosing oil-filled power electrical equipment and concerns a method for determining the moisture content of transformer oil. The method consists in determining the moisture content by colorimetric method using cobalt chloride. The moisture content of the oil is determined by the sign of the optical density of the difference spectrum of the cobalt (II) chloride solution in the transformer oil of around 450 nm.

EFFECT: reducing the time for determining the moisture content and increasing the efficiency of control.
