FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of analytical chemistry and can be used in radiopharmaceuticals manufacturing, in dentistry and cosmetology. Method for determination of trace amounts of nitrate ions in the SrCl2 salt characterized in that from the initial strontium chloride, a macrocyclic complex of the CE⋅SrCl2, where CE is a molecule of crown ether; irradiate the macrocyclic complex CE⋅SrCl2 at a liquid nitrogen temperature of 77 K in order to form and stabilize radical products of radiolysis, with the macrocyclic complex CE⋅SrCl2 previously evacuated in a glass ampoule; register the EPR spectrum of radical radiolysis products stabilized in the irradiated macrocyclic complex CE⋅SrCl2, at a temperature in the range of 77–110 K, the concentration of dianionic NO32- in the parent salt of SrCl2.
EFFECT: method for determining trace amounts of nitrate ions in strontium chloride is proposed.
