FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, in particular to compositions of modifiers for improving the properties of castings from chromium-nickel steels used for the manufacture of pipe pumping units operating at low temperatures. The modifier contains, wt.%: titanium diboride 20-40, boron nitride 20-60, chromium - the rest.
EFFECT: invention allows increasing the effect of grinding the dendritic structure of castings, which provides an increase in cold resistance while maintaining other mechanical characteristics.
