FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding and concerns the butt joint of sheet elements of the main single-layer connections of the hull-sheathing, deck flooring and bulkhead panels made of polymer composite materials (hereinafter – PCM). The butt molded joint of sheet elements of the connections of the hull structures made of PCM is made by the method for two-stage infusion. At the first stage, by the method for vacuum infusion, the joined sheet elements are created, in each of which, on the side of the butt joint formation, reinforcing material layers that are not impregnated with a binder are left, which are connected by subsequent cutting of the layers and their docking. A joint is formed, on the site of which the infusion method is repeatedly applied. The location of the joints of the reinforcing material layers is determined by setting the geometric parameters of the butt joint depending on the number of layers that determine the thickness of the connected sheet elements, when the distance between the joints is defined as , where Δl is the distance between the layer joints, mm, N is the number of reinforcing material layers in the sheet elements, and the length of the reinforcing material layers that are not impregnated with a binder in the joint depends on the distance between the layer joints and is defined as , where is the length of the reinforcing material layers that are not impregnated with a binder.
EFFECT: increased strength characteristics of the PCM in the butt joint area, which ensures long-term and reliable operation of the butt joints under conditions of increased mechanical loads, as well as reduction in the labor intensity and improvement in the quality of their manufacture.
