FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing 4-chlorophthalic acid as a monomer for the synthesis of polycondensation polymers. The method for producing 4-chlorophthalic acid consists in treating 4-chlorophthalic anhydride with a mixture of distilled water and triethylamine at the following ratios (wt.%) of the components: CPA is 66.4, water is 33.2 ÷ 32.6, and TEA is 0.4 ÷ 1.0.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain polyetherimides, epoxide oligomers, polymers, heat-cured polyethers with high values of fire, heat and thermal resistance, maintaining good dielectric characteristics in a wide range of temperatures and frequencies, well soluble in general organic solvents.
