FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to reserve chemical current sources, it can be used for the manufacture of a thermal chemical current source (hereinafter – TCCS) for powering devices and systems with electrical energy. The energy-intensive TCCS contains a block of electrochemical elements (hereinafter – ECE) in a case with thermal insulation, located in a steel cylindrical case made of several parts, with ribs formed in them and with multi-pole terminals. It also contains a number of ECE increased of 1.5-2 times, at least one horizontal retainer (stop), made in the form of a disk with at least 3 stopping protrusions protruding beyond its contour, resting on the inner surface of the ribs of the ECE block case, which provides intermediate preload of each additional ECE group, forming a block. In addition, the retainer performs the function of a heat sink, equalizing the heat balance, which eliminates overheating in the middle of the ECE unit.
EFFECT: increase in the discharge current and specific power of the TCCS, as well as an increase in its strength under lateral mechanical loads, is the technical result of the invention.
