THERMAL CHEMICAL CURRENT SOURCE Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC H01M6/20 H01M2/16

Abstract RU 2717089 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electric engineering, namely to thermal chemical sources of current, having increased operating time, power and reliability, which can be used in alarm systems and special equipment. Thermal chemical current source comprises housing with thermal insulation and external current leads of two and more electrically connected in parallel and arranged one after another units of elements of thermally activated chemical current sources, each of which consists of cathode, electrolyte and anode, alternating in series in axial direction with pyro-heating elements, thermal chemical current source comprises cathode and anode current leads of end cathodes and anodes of parallel connected elements units fixed on corresponding external terminals. Current terminals are located on the cover in the tops and in the square center, with the center coinciding with the cover center, the tops are located at distance of 17.5 mm from the cover center, parts of the current collectors inside the cover base are made with glass insulators, current leads of the electric igniter are fixed on two diametrically located current leads, on the other two diametrically located terminals, there are current lead of end anodes of parallel connected elements units and current collectors of cathodes from intermediate points of parallel connected elements units, current collectors of end cathodes of blocks of parallel connected elements are fixed on the terminal in the center of the cover; the cover contains gaskets from mica, asbestos and heat-insulating material with heat capacity of not more than 0.5 J/g deg.

EFFECT: improving operating reliability of a thermal chemical current source is technical result of invention; besides, proposed current source has increased specific capacitance and power due to reduced volume and weight.
