FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: terminal is comprised of: a receiving module configured to receive a beam transmitted from a base station; a control module configured to perform control associated with recovery of a connection with said base station in case of a failure of reception of said beam by said receiving module; and a transmission module, configured to transmit a random access preamble or an uplink control signal based on said control associated with connection recovery, wherein during a random access operation activated according to the control associated with connection recovery even in the presence of a physical uplink shared channel in accordance with an uplink grant other than the channel associated with the random access operation, transmission is not provided until the completion of said random access operation.
EFFECT: creation of a possibility for a terminal configured to communicate using beam forming to properly control transmission of an uplink signal in a recovery operation after a beam detection failure.
