FIELD: radio communication systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio communication systems in accordance with 5G (NR). Terminal is capable of configuring a primary PCell and a secondary SCell at the same time. The terminal contains a receiving module, which is made to receive a reference signal for use in detecting a beam failure in the SCell, and a controller, which is made to detect at least one of a beam failures and request a recovery after a beam failure occurrence based on the reference signal reception quality. Then the controller performs the beam failure recovery procedures when a beam failure is detected based on the reference signal reception quality and the secondary cell is in the activated state. The transmission module is capable of reporting a probable new beam in a plurality of secondary cells using a single message in a beam failure recovery procedure when beam failures are detected in numerous secondary cells.
EFFECT: invention avoids an increase in network load during Beam Failure Recovery (BFR), as the number of BFR request transmission acts per unit time is reduced.
