FIELD: seismic systems.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for determining the optimal positioning of source-receiver pairs configured to acquire seismic data. The method comprises: the first step of identifying the zone of interest (32), which was the object of the previous seismic survey, in order to obtain an image of the subsoil in this area, the second step of obtaining the seismic data collected during the previous seismic survey of the specified area of interest during the time of interest, the third step of applying partial or complete demigration to the specified seismic data to determine the positions of each source-receiver pair (31, 34) that participated in the imaging of the specified subsoil of the specified zone of interest during the specified time of interest, the fourth step of obtaining the raw traces for the specified positions source-receiver pairs (31, 34), the fifth step of selecting at least one optimal unprocessed trace among the specified unprocessed traces; and the sixth step of determining the optimal positions of the source-receiver pairs (31, 34) corresponding to the specified at least one optimal unprocessed trace.

EFFECT: invention increases the sensitivity and therefore the level of detection of ultra-light active seismic systems.
