FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to seismic exploration with pulsed and continuous sources of seismic vibrations. The method can be used in surface and borehole seismic surveys wherein multiple excitation of vibrations is executed with further accumulation of the obtained seismic records. The method is based on mechanical impact of the source on the soil through the substrate. According to the claimed method, the material of the substrate is taken comparable in elastic properties with the elastic properties of the compacted soil, and the thickness of the substrate is taken comparable with the amplitude of deformations excited in the compacted soil. In one of the specific variants of the method, the substrate is made in form of a hollow vessel with a flexible bottom configured for a gas or liquid to be injected into the vessel until a value of elasticity of the flexible bottom is reached, comparable with the elasticity of the compacted soil.
EFFECT: increased stability of the excited seismic signal.
