FIELD: polymer production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemistry and technology of polymers, in particular the technology for producing polymer materials with open pores. A method for producing a polymer material with open pores is described, including mixing high-density polyethylene, toluene and paraffin at a mass ratio of polyethylene : toluene, equal to 1:29, and polyethylene: paraffin, equal to 1:2-58, until a homogeneous solution is formed. Mixing is carried out at a temperature of 70-110°C and mixing intensity of 400-600 rpm. Then the resulting solution is cooled to 20-27°C and the solid precipitate is separated by filtration, from which the material is formed and toluene residues are removed from it. Next, the paraffin is removed by extraction with methylene chloride and dried from the residues of methylene chloride.
EFFECT: reduced complexity of manufacturing and ease of hardware design in the production of macroporous polyethylene with an open pore structure with a given porosity, with high values of edge angles in relation to water, as well as having permeability in relation to non-polar organic compounds and limited permeability in relation to water.
