FIELD: organic chemistry and technology. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes metallocenes with aryl-substituted indenyl derivatives as ligands and a method of their synthesis and using their as catalysts. Effective catalytic system for polymerization or copolymerization of olefins consists of cocatalyst, mainly aluminoxane or aluminoxane applied on backing and metallocene of the formula (I): where M1 mean Zr or Hf; R1 and R2 mean halogen or alkyl; R3 means alkyl; R4-R12 mean alkyl or hydrogen and R13 means (substituted) alkylene bridge or heteroatom bridge. Metallocenes, in part, zirconocens at temperatures 50-80 C form polymers exhibiting very high molecular mass, high stereotacticity and high melting point in combination with high activity of catalyst.
