SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to vascular pathology, therapy, immunology, laboratory diagnostics and can be used to identify criteria for the risk of atherosclerosis formation. The method includes determining the content of immunoglobulin E (IgE) and the concentration of interleukin-10 (IL-10) in the peripheral blood of the examined people by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. With an increase in IgE content over 100 IU/ml and IL-10 over 20 pg/ml, a high risk of atherosclerosis is diagnosed.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to form for prevention of atherosclerosis risk groups, as well as to determine effectiveness of therapeutic measures.
