INTRAVENOUS INFUSION KIT Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61M5/14

Abstract RU 2751752 C2

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a medical equipment, namely, an intravenous infusion kit for ensuring continuous delivery of an air-free fluid for intravenous infusion to a patient. In this case, the specified kit (10) for intravenous infusion contains: a drip chamber (12) equipped with a spike (14) at the upper end (16) and an element (18) for regulating and stopping the flow at its lower end (20), made with the possibility providing continuous, air-free delivery of intravenous fluid to patients, wherein the drip chamber (12) is provided with at least two chambers, including a lower chamber (12a) and an upper chamber (12b), connected by a connecting means such as a ring (32) defining a channel, the lower end of said lower chamber (12a) being sealed by a connector (128) with an outlet (138) at the end, which in turn is connected to a flexible infusion line (22), and wherein the outlet (138) comprises a distal extension (138b) from the main part of the connector (128), so that a fluid / liquid reservoir (129) is formed on the distal side of the connector (128), wherein the distal extension (138b) of the outlet comprises one or more slots (138c); a flexible infusion line (22) of sufficient length connecting the lower end (20) of the drip chamber (12) to a standard connector (24) on the patient's side so that a needle or catheter can be connected to the patient; and a roller clamp (26) located between the drip chamber (12) and the standard connector (24), designed to move along the length of the flexible infusion line (22). Moreover, one or more slots (138c) are designed to prevent bubbles from entering the infusion line (22). And one or more of the slits (138c) are jagged/rough.

EFFECT: use of the invention ensures that bubbles do not enter the flexible infusion line while significantly reducing costs.
