FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to needle-free access connectors. A needle-free access connector with positive pressure displacement includes: a housing having a first Luer connector at the proximal end; a base having a second Luer connector at the distal end; and a valve element with a proximal end, which creates a seal in the first Luer connector, and a distal end, which is attached to the proximal end of the base, and air channel in base, extending from valve element into atmosphere, having at least one branch, which expands along air channel. Method of controlling fluid flow in a needle-free access connector comprises providing said housing, providing said base, and providing said valve element; distal end of valve element is attached to proximal end of base; valve element is articulated with the base inside the body and opening a needle-free access connector by compressing the valve member so as to direct gas into the base through the air passage extending from the valve element to the atmosphere through at least one branch which expands along the air path.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a connector with a smaller size and smaller volume of primary filling, which is more comfortable for the patient and reduces consumption and loss of fluid medium, respectively.
