FIELD: robotics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to robotics and can be used in processing centers, in surgery, at test and assembly stands. The platform robot has a support base and a polygonal movable platform with a drive. The platform and the support base are kinematically interconnected by means of rod movable supports and intermediate double-hinged links. Each of the movable supports is made in form of a hinged antiparallelogram with parallel axes of rotational kinematic pairs, consisting of two parallel short hinge links and two long hinge links connecting them and crossing each other in pairs. The short links are connected to the support base and the movable polygonal platform by means of intermediate double-hinged links.
EFFECT: as a result, the design of the robot is simplified, its rigidity and positioning accuracy are increased, and its working area is expanded.
