FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in the electronic industry in the manufacture of sealed magnetically controlled contacts (reed switches). The method for manufacturing the protective coating of the reed contact parts includes ion bombardment cleaning and ion-plasma nitriding of the surface of the contact parts in a pulse-frequency glow discharge at a pulse repetition frequency of 20-30 kHz with a discharge current filling factor of 20-90%, in the gap between the reed contact parts, the discharge is excited by symmetrical multi-polar voltage pulses lasting 10-30 microseconds, then within 30-90 minutes, the stage of cleaning the surface of the contact parts with a discharge current with a pulse density (7-9) ⋅ 102 mA/cm2, and its subsequent nitriding is carried out within 90-120 minutes by a discharge current with a pulse density (4-6) ⋅ 102 mA/cm2.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the cost of manufacturing the reed switch by eliminating the electroplating method for applying protective coatings and the use of precious metals.
