METHOD FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY OF ANOSMIA AFTER CORONAVIRUS INFECTION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61N5/67 G01N33/00

Abstract RU 2751823 C1

FIELD: medicine, physiotherapy in particular.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to physiotherapy, otolaryngology and neurology, and can be used for the physiotherapy of anosmia after a coronavirus infection. The object is consistently affected by a complex of physiotherapy methods. First, intranasal electrophoresis is performed using a 1% aqueous solution of thiamine hydrochloride. The procedure is performed in a sitting position according to the intranasal technique using a bifurcated electrode with a gradual increase in the duration of the procedures, a course of 10 procedures daily or every other day. In this case, the first three procedures are carried out with a current of 0.3 mA for 10 minutes. Subsequent procedures are carried out with a current of 0.5 mA and duration of: the fourth procedure is12 minutes, the fifth procedure 12-15 minutes, the sixth procedure 15 minutes, the seventh procedure 15-20 minutes, the eighth procedure 20 minutes, the ninth and tenth procedures 25 minutes. After electrophoresis, an intranasal exposure to low-level infrared laser radiation (LLLR) is performed without a time interval, at a wavelength of 904 nm. A nozzle for nasal laser therapy is used, pulse mode, pulse power at the output of the light guide 5 W/imp, the duration of the procedure is 5 minutes, a course of 10 procedures, daily or every other day. In this case, the nasal emitters are placed alternately in one, and then in the second nasal passages to a depth of no more than 1 cm, for 2.5 minutes of exposure in each.

EFFECT: method provides correction of olfactory function, improvement of microcirculation in the nasal mucosa due to the complex effect of the claimed physiotherapy methods.
