FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely preventive medicine. To prevent coronavirus infection, local photodynamic therapy procedures are carried out with a solution of a medicinal photosensitizer. A 0.01% aqueous solution of methylene blue or radachlorine 0.35%: 1 ml in 10 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution is used as a photosensitizer. The photosensitizer is delivered to the nasal passages and oropharynx through installations, irrigation, rinsing or aerosol inhalations. The mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract are irradiated through the nasal passages and open mouth, or the lower respiratory tract through the skin over the trachea and over the notch of the presternum with red light energy at a wavelength from 630 nm to 700 nm, with a luminous flux of 0.5-1 W, radiation power density from 0.01 to 0.3 W/cm2, the dose density of light energy on the surface of the mucous membranes is from 4 to 15 J/cm2. The procedure of local photodynamic therapy is performed 3-5 minutes after applying the sensitizer solution. Irradiation of the oropharynx is carried out for 5 minutes, and irradiation of each nasal passage is carried out for 2 minutes. Irradiation of the palatine tonsils and mucous membranes of the pharynx is carried out through the mouth for 7 minutes. Photodynamic therapy is carried out in the form of daily procedures, the first procedure is carried out 15-20 minutes before entering the area with an increased epidemiological risk of infection with a respiratory viral infection, the second procedure after leaving the area.
EFFECT: method provides inactivation of viruses in the upper respiratory tract, which contributes to the prevention of disease and epidemic tension in the institution.
