FIELD: wastewater treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed for biochemical purification and post-treatment of wastewater of any type, as well as natural waters. The volumetric carrier of biomass includes a braided core consisting of two or more non-corroding metal wires (1) made of a plastic material with high nickel content, and two synthetic threads (2), and fibrous elements of different lengths in the form of radial segments of the same diameter, simultaneously interwoven and fixed between the wires. Short fibrous elements (3) in the form of segments radially fixed between the core wires are made of nylon thread, and long fibrous elements (4) are made of synthetic material with a non-negative surface charge.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to ensure the continuity of purification due to the possibility of the bioregeneration process and auto-regulation of the number of immobilized microorganisms, unification of the dimensions of the volumetric carrier of biomass, regardless of the linear size of the bioreactor and the type of wastewater or natural water being treated.
