SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas industry, namely to devices used in the repair of tanks, and more specifically to devices for repairing the wall of a vertical steel tank. The device for repairing the vertical wall of a steel tank includes a metal frame in the form of interconnected racks and horizontal beams, designed to be installed and secured inside by bolting a steel sheet. The ends of the two struts are rigidly connected to the middle part of the upper beam and the ends of the lower beam at a distance that allows a steel sheet to be installed between the beams, while the upper beam is made U-shaped with a free end sharpened from the outside, interacting with the steel sheet for ease of installation inside the frame, and bottom - L-shaped with an open horizontal shelf, equipped with threaded holes at the ends, the bolted connection is made in the form of two bolts with pointed ends on the thread side and a washer screwed into the corresponding threaded holes of the lower beam to fix the steel sheet inside the frame. The middle of the upper beam at the top and the ends of the lower beam at the side are equipped with lugs for attaching flexible rods.

EFFECT: invention ensures simplicity and reliability of the structure for repairing the violation of the vertical walls of metal tanks of any design, height and curvature, due to the small size with a minimum of moving parts and, as a result, ensuring low material consumption.
