FIELD: waste utilization.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for condensing water vapor and neutralizing acid gases from a vapor-gas mixture formed as a result of the process of thermocatalytic oxidation of sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plants in a scrubber. The technical result is achieved by the method for condensation of water vapor formed during the catalytic combustion of sludge, in which wet flue gases with a temperature of 185-200°C, previously purified in a bag filter from solid particles, enter the wet vortex scrubber through the intake manifold, from which they are evenly distributed from the bottom up, passing through a dispersing grid, which receives irrigation water or irrigation water with an alkaline agent added to it, while a turbulent dispersed gas-liquid layer, in which the flue gases are cooled with steam condensation from it, then the cooled wet flue gases enter the separator block, where water droplets are separated from the gas phase, then the drained flue gases enter the box installed above the housing and then exit the scrubber through the exhaust manifold, while the condensed water under the influence of gravity is discharged through a dispersing grate into a tray with a water drain pipe.

EFFECT: proposed is a new effective method for condensation of water vapor.
