FIELD: polymer materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multilayer film or sheet materials on a biodegradable basis. The multilayer material includes one or more biodegradable layers. The biodegradable layer or layers are made of a thermoplastic polymer composition based on a dispersed filler of natural origin and have polyethylene-based layers on the both sides. The content of the biodegradable layer or layers is more than 50% by weight of the multilayer film or sheet biodegradable material. The biodegradable polymer composition for creating a biodegradable layer is comprised of an amorphous thermoplastic copolymer selected from the range of: ethylene and vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene and octene copolymer, ethylene and maleic anhydride copolymer. As a dispersed filler of natural origin, the composition comprises either natural polymers: cellulose, starch, chitin, oligo/polypeptides, or natural fillers of a mixed composition: wood powder, flax shive, oil flax stalks, wheat chaff, sunflower husks, rice husks, foliage, straw. The ratio of the components therein is wt.%: dispersed filler 30 to 50, thermoplastic copolymer the rest.
EFFECT: high capacity for biodegradation, high barrier properties relative to moisture and oxygen, improved operational properties: reliable weldability and high mechanical properties.
