FIELD: antenna technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna technology, in particular to high-impedance broadband low-profile bases (EBG structures or electromagnetic crystals) of radio frequency antennas and antenna arrays for communication systems and radars, as well as to passive devices for suppressing in-circuit interference in high-speed digital circuits. Ultra-light ultra-wideband low-profile high-impedance magneto-dielectric structure containing a metal base, metal horizontal plates connected to the base by means of vertical metal bridges placed in high-frequency ferrite tubes and separated from each other and the base by dielectric layers, characterized in that said metal horizontal plates are formed in the form of one floor, an air gap is introduced between two layers of dielectric between the plates, and the thickness of the air gap is much larger than the thickness of the dielectric layers, and cutouts are made in the plates themselves, which make up 40% of the area of the plates, and their linear dimensions do not exceed 1/15 L0, where L0 is the wavelength at the center frequency of the structure.
EFFECT: simultaneous expansion of the frequency band, reduction of the profile height and mass, which makes it possible to build the bases of ultra-light ultra-wideband low-profile multi-element flat scanned antenna arrays, as well as reduce material consumption and production costs.
