FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-fighting equipment, mainly to extinguishing a fire with inert gases in closed rooms of special fortifications. The gas fire extinguishing system includes a set of similar equipment placed in each isolated room 2. So, in each isolated room 2 there is a compressed nitrogen storage unit in the form of high-pressure compressed nitrogen tanks 6, connected by a connecting line 7, a distribution line 8, fire detectors 10 and oxygen concentration sensors 11, as well as a control unit 12 that registers the signals of detectors 10 and sensors 11. In the event of a fire in one (or several) of the rooms 2 and the appearance of smoke, a fire detector 10 located in this room 2 is triggered, and a signal is sent from it to the control unit 12. From the control unit 12, the control signal is sent to the drive of the shut-off valve 9 of the distribution line 8 a and to the drive of the shut-off valve 17 of the flue gas discharge line 15, which are located in the room 2 with the fire source. This control signal gives the command to open the shut-off valve 9 of the distribution line 8 and the shut-off valve 17 of the flue gas discharge line 15. Compressed nitrogen is supplied via a distribution line 8 to a room 2 with a fire source at the lower level near the floor surface through a throttle device 18. Flue gases from the room 2 are sucked through the intake device 16 at the ceiling level of the room 2 and along the flue gas discharge line 15 enter the exhaust pipe 13, from which they are removed from the special fortification 1 into the environment with the help of a compressor 14.
EFFECT: increased speed of fire extinguishing and lightening of the internal space of an isolated room with a fire source, as well as reliability of the operation of the gas fire extinguishing system and reduced required amount of nitrogen for fire extinguishing.
