SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. The tread pattern of a pneumatic tire includes a pair of circumferential grooves and a plurality of slotted lug grooves extending in the tire lateral direction between the pair of circumferential grooves and spaced along the circumferential direction of the tire. Each of the slotted lug grooves includes a lug groove extending from the first longitudinal groove of the pair of longitudinal grooves and closed, and a slot extending from the closed end of the lug groove towards the second longitudinal groove and connected to the second longitudinal groove. The plurality of slotted lug grooves include at least one first slotted lug groove extending with a bend relative to the longitudinal direction of the lug groove other than the longitudinal direction of the slot, and at least one second slotted lug groove extending linearly with respect to the longitudinal direction of the lug groove combined with the longitudinal direction of the slot.
EFFECT: invention improves tire performance on wet surfaces without compromising noise performance.
