FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to radiation oncology, and can be used for radiation treatment of prostate cancer of high and extremely high risk of recurrence. Combined irradiation of the zones of regional lymph outflow, prostate gland and seminal vesicles is carried out with intensity-modulated irradiation in the remote fractionation mode. Additionally, brachytherapy is carried out with a high dose rate source in the form of one fraction of 15 Gy for the area of the prostate gland and seminal vesicles. The sequence of stages of combined radiation treatment is arbitrary, the break between stages is 2-4 weeks. In this case, the intensity-modulated irradiation of these areas is carried out in the mode of moderate hypofractionation: SBD - 3 Gy, 5 times a week up to cumulative dose 39 Gy, 13 fractions.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in the duration of external radiation therapy, reduces the risk of radiation complications and radiation exposure to healthy tissues due to combined irradiation with intensity-modulated radiation in the remote fractionation and brachytherapy mode.
