FIELD: bridge and tunnel construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of bridge and tunnel technology, and more specifically to an underwater transport tunnel. An underwater transport tunnel contains a housing submerged in water, a connecting element and a ventilation system. The housing includes a first cavity to provide passage space and a second cavity located at the bottom of the first cavity. The second cavity is connected to water. The connecting element connects the housing and the benthal and is used to counteract buoyancy. The ventilation system communicates with the first cavity and protrudes above the water surface. The housing is safely submerged in water, and sea vessels can freely float above the housing. The second cavity is connected to water and is not easily overturned by seawater.
EFFECT: ensuring the structural stability of the underwater transport tunnel, without interaction with passing vessels.
