SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing substituted 5-hydroperoxy-5-alkyl-1,2-dioxolan-3-s of general formula
where R = unsubstituted or substituted benzyl, while the substituents can be Hal, lower alkyl, O-alkyl, unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, while the substituents can be CN, COOEt; R1 = alkyl С1-С3; R2 = Н; R+R1= -(СН2)3-, which consists in the fact that the corresponding B-ketoesters of general formula
where R, R1 and R2 have the above meanings, is reacted with a 30-40% aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide in diethyl ether in the presence of concentrated sulfuric acid as a catalyst, and the process is carried out preferably at a molar ratio of B-ketoester : hydrogen peroxide : sulfuric acid 1 : 9-10 : 9-10.
EFFECT: method for the production of 5-hydroperoxy-5-alkyl-1,2-dioxolan-3-s in high yield is developed, which can be used in medicine for the production of drugs, as well as initiators of free-radical polymerization of unsaturated monomers in large-scale production.
