SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to methods for spinning the rotors of single-shaft gas turbine engines from a third-party source for starting or testing. In the proposed method for energy-efficient promotion of the rotor of a single-shaft gas turbine engine from a third-party energy source, including the supply of compressed starting gas from a third-party source to the gas-air path of the engine, according to the claimed solution, the flow of starting gas from a third-party source is fed into at least one area of the gas-air path of the engine between the outlet from the combustion chamber and the minimum flow area of the inter-blade channel of the turbine nozzle apparatus located directly behind the combustion chamber, tangentially in the direction of rotation of the impeller located behind the mentioned nozzle apparatus, and the axial coordinate of the starting gas supply point is experimentally determined before the engine starts operating on the basis of the condition for ensuring the minimum pressurization of the engine gas-air duct with starting gas to a pressure that exceeds the pressure created by the compressor during its spinning up in the process of starting gas supply.
EFFECT: invention allows spinning up the rotor of a single-shaft gas turbine engine to the required frequency with reduced requirements for starting gas energy.
