METHOD FOR SPINAL REDUCTION AND FIXATION IN COARSE-FRAGMENT FRACTURES OF VERTEBRAL BODIES Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B17/70

Abstract RU 2477624 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to medicine, namely traumatology. A surgical approach is created. Transpedicular screws are introduced into spines adjoining the involved one through their roots of archs The transpedicular screws are coupled with a first bar from one side. The bar is used to reduce the fragments of the injured spine by distraction in the injured segments. A transpedicular screw is introduced from the opposite side into the injured spine in the caudocranial direction through a Roy-Kamille point and brought through a fracture line, a second bar is arranged from this side. The first bar is removed; a transpedicular screw is introduced from the this side into the injured spine in the craniocaudal direction through a Roy-Kamille point and brought through the fracture line. The first bar is placed back. The transpedicular screws are fixed in the bars, and the latter are coupled with a connector.

EFFECT: method extends the reduction possibilities of the transpedicular system and reliability of fixation of the injured vertebral fractures.
