FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of instrumentation and can be used for testing and verifying the operability of the sensitive elements of inertial navigation systems. The method for scalar calibration of an accelerometer unit additionally contains the stages at which, before calibration, the optimal angular positions of the unit for measurements are determined by minimizing the angular functional so as to minimize the effect of unaccounted for errors in the conditions of the calibration.
EFFECT: invention improves the accuracy of calibration of the accelerometer unit.
