FIELD: foundry industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing shell casting mold (1) for casting on smelted models includes a stage of immersion of smelted model (6) in a contact slurry to form contact layer (2) of the shell casting mold. The shell casting mold contains set of layers (2, 3, 4, 5) with at least one contact layer (2) containing a binder and a powder. A contact slurry powder containing a composite material based on mullite and zirconium dioxide is used as a powder, which limits the chemical interaction between the shell mold and the metal alloy introduced into it.
EFFECT: increased rheological stability of the contact slurry and the chemical inertia of the shell mold relatively to the molten metal alloy is provided.
