SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas industry and is intended to activate the production of residual recoverable oil reserves from deposits by leveling the displacement front. The method includes drilling vertical wells according to a certain scheme, pumping a displacing agent into injection wells and extracting oil from production wells, building at least one additional horizontal injection well between rows of vertical production and injection wells with a horizontal part located perpendicular to the flow lines of reservoir fluids. The horizontal part of the additional well is located at a distance of 20% to 60% of the distance from the injection wells to the production wells of the nearby rows, and the total volume of the injected displacing agent by all injection wells remains at the same level as before drilling additional wells. The pressure in additional wells is maintained less than in the nearby rows of injection wells, but more than in the nearby rows of production wells.

EFFECT: oil production is stimulated by leveling the displacement front.
