FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of synthesis of new materials, namely to a material based on chromium tetraboride, the phase composition whereof includes chromium tetraboride, chromium diboride and a binder, wherein the contents of the components are: CrB4 - 45 to 60%, CrB2 - 25 to 45%, the binder - 10 to 15%, wherein the binder constitutes a metal boride, or a mixture of borides of metals selected from cobalt, copper, nickel, and aluminium. Also proposed are a variant of the material based on chromium tetraboride, a method for producing the material, a plate, a cutting tool, a drilling tool, and a method for drilling underground rock.
EFFECT: ensured high wear resistance, heat resistance, hardness and simultaneously high bending and compression strength.
