FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: isolating transmission-line transformer (ITLT) for use in a data transmission system contains an essentially flat substrate made of an electrical insulating material having opposite first and second surfaces; a first port formed by two separate terminals placed on one part of the substrate; a second port formed by two separate terminals placed on the second part of the substrate; a first conductor connected in series to the first port and made in the form of a single circuit; the second conductor, electrically isolated from the first conductor and connected in series to the second port. The second conductor is designed as a single circuit in essentially the opposite orientation relatively to the first conductor. The first and second ports and at least a part of the first and second conductors are located on the surface (surfaces) of the substrate; and the core is located between the first and second ports to cover most of the first and second conductors.

EFFECT: simplifying the manufacturing process.
