SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medical catheters, in particular to catheters suitable for supplying shock waves during medical procedures relatively to cells, tissues or organs. A catheter device for transmitting shock waves to target cells, tissues or organs of a patient contains an internal elongated hollow body located between a proximal end and a distal end along the longitudinal axis, and at least one mechanical waveguide for transmitting at least one mechanical wave to the distal end to affect target cells, tissues, or organs, attached to the internal elongated hollow body, and located along at least part of the internal elongated hollow body. The internal elongated hollow body has a longitudinal hole located between the proximal and distal ends, while the shape and dimensions of the longitudinal hole ensure the placement of a guidewire in it. The distal end of at least one mechanical waveguide is adapted to be in direct contact with target cells, tissues, or organs.

EFFECT: invention provides focusing, uniformity and density of wave energy in target tissues.
